7 LAYER MEXICAN DIP

7 Layer Dip

WHAT YOU NEED:

  • 1 can of refried beans

  • 1 Medium tub of sour cream

  • Half a yellow onion

  • 1 package of taco seasoning

  • 2 cans of pitted black olives

  • 4 whole tomatoes 

  • 1 bag of mexican four cheese

  • Bag of chips • Chives

Step 1 - Finely chop and sauté half a yellow onion in a pan with butter. Once translucent, move to a small bowl for next step. 

Step 2 - Finely chop chives. Stir them in a bowl with a medium size tub of sour cream. Add sautéed onion and taco seasoning pack. Stir some more. Place bowl in fridge to thicken. Wait about 15 minutes before use in layer 2.

Layer 1 - Mildly heat up the can of refried beans on the stove. Then add to bottom of dish. Cover the bottom and make smooth with a spatula. 

Layer 2, 3, 4 - Sour cream, taco seasoning onion and chives mix. Cover beans with sour cream mix and smooth out with a spatula. 

Layer 5 - Finely chop olives and add layer. I use a food processor for this layer. Cover previous layer.

Layer 6 - Finely chop tomatoes and add layer. Cover previous layer.

Layer 7 - Add most of bag of cheese covering the previous layer. Sprinkle top with chives. 

Open bag of chips or grab a spoon and enjoy!!!
